As you probably know, 'ersatz'...Nice piece. As you probably know, 'ersatz' coffee was widespread in occupied Europe, and in the UK, during WW2. My mother, who went through the Blitz, decided to demonstrate the dandelion root method one day; from memory, it wasn't that bad.
